1. Introduction

Welcome to Serene Assist (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By accessing our website or making use of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Nature of Services

Serene Assist provides non-medical assistance services, including but not limited to:

  • Transport to and from appointments
  • Companion assistance
  • Errands and shopping support
  • General day-to-day assistance

⚠️ Important:
We are not a medical service provider and do not provide medical advice, treatment, or emergency services.

3. No Emergency Services

Serene Assist is not an emergency or ambulance service.

In the event of a medical emergency, clients must contact the appropriate emergency services immediately.

4. Bookings & Communication

  • All bookings are confirmed via phone, WhatsApp, or email
  • Service times are agreed in advance but may be affected by traffic, delays, or unforeseen circumstances
  • We will make reasonable efforts to communicate any delays

5. Pricing & Payment

  • Services are charged at agreed hourly and/or per kilometre rates
  • Travel time may be included in billing
  • Payment terms will be communicated prior to service delivery

6. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Cancellations must be communicated as early as possible
  • Late cancellations may incur a fee
  • No-shows may be charged in full

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Inform us of any mobility limitations or assistance requirements
  • Ensure a safe and suitable pickup and drop-off environment
  • Ensure that the client is fit for non-medical transport

8. Transport & Service Risks

By using our services, you acknowledge that:

  • Transport and assistance services carry inherent risks
  • Factors such as traffic, road conditions, and third-party actions are beyond our control
  • We do not guarantee travel times or outcomes

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Serene Assist shall not be held liable for:

  • Any accidents, injuries, or incidents occurring during transport or service delivery
  • Any delays, missed appointments, or schedule disruptions
  • Any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or damages

All services are used at the client’s own risk.

10. Indemnity

The client agrees to indemnify and hold Serene Assist harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

  • Use of our services
  • Inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

11. Personal Belongings

  • Clients are responsible for their personal belongings at all times
  • Serene Assist is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items

12. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a service where:

  • The situation is unsafe
  • The client requires medical care beyond our scope
  • There is inappropriate, abusive, or unlawful behaviour

13. Privacy

All personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
